Think about asking “How many years have you been a realtor?”, “How many sales did you close last year?”, and “Have you sold houses in my price range before?” You’ll also want to make sure she is fully certified and qualified to handle your transaction – check out any licenses, certifications, designations, and awards for a full picture of her capabilities.
You don’t want to work with someone who will do anything just to make the sale. Your realtor should value honesty and integrity so you can be sure the decisions being made are in your best interest. Ask for a list of references from previous clients, and use the internet to search for reviews that have been written on Google, Zillow, or other sites. If she is a trustworthy realtor, she will be happy to give you a long list of testimonials!
