Buying or selling your home can be one of the biggest decisions of your life – emotionally, financially, and logistically. While it may sound daunting, working with the right realtor can actually make the process seamless!
Read below for the top 3 features to look for in a realtor to ensure a successful and easy transaction!


Look for a realtor who is familiar with your area, knowledgeable about the current real estate market, and has been successful with similar sales. Don’t be afraid to ask outright about her track record, and obtain actual statistics about sales experience. Think about asking “How many years have you been a realtor?”, “How many sales did you close last year?”, and “Have you sold houses in my price range before?” You’ll also want to make sure she is fully certified and qualified to handle your transaction – check out any licenses, certifications, designations, and awards for a full picture of her capabilities.


You don’t want to work with someone who will do anything just to make the sale. Your realtor should value honesty and integrity so you can be sure the decisions being made are in your best interest. Ask for a list of references from previous clients, and use the internet to search for reviews that have been written on Google, Zillow, or other sites. If she is a trustworthy realtor, she will be happy to give you a long list of testimonials!
