During this “new normal” era of COVID-19, we must remember to stay safe and support our local restaurants. This can be hard, but we want to help!
Here are some wonderful restaurants near us that we can support during the holiday season. Many of them have online ordering and takeout options available.
Attempting to reduce the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases in our area, Governor Phil Murphy announced new restrictions on businesses in a Coronavirus update on November 10th.
The Restrictions:
— Restaurants, bars, clubs, lounges, and other businesses that serve food or drinks will not be able to operate their indoor premises between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
— Outdoor dining can continue after 10:00 p.m., as well as takeout and delivery.
— Seating at the physical bar in the indoor areas of bars and restaurants will be prohibited.
— Restaurants will be allowed to have groups at tables indoors that are closer than six feet together if they are separated by barriers that comply with guidance from the Department of Health.
— Restaurants will be allowed to set up plastic domes outdoors, limited to one group each, as additional outdoor dining space.
With the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend, this may come as a disappointment to some folks, so we have gone ahead and put together a list of some restaurants that will be willing and ready to sell you a hot plate of grub over Thanksgiving.
The Restaurants:
- Socially Distanced Outdoor Dining with Heated Tent
- Offering limited outdoor tent dining and indoor dining that adheres to CDC guidelines
- Also offering a full takeout menu
- Offering window pick-up and free next day local delivery
- Their Montvale location is currently open for indoor and outdoor lunch, and their Jersey city location will be open for the same starting December 1st
- Open for outdoor dining with heated tents and pick-up
With outdoor dining becoming less and less viable as the weather becomes colder, it is up to us to support our local small businesses.
