Bergen County Skating Rinks
Northern New Jersey is home to several skating rinks to enjoy this winter, including some outdoor rinks. After nearly 40 years, Fort Lee brought back its public and free outdoor skating rink last year. It is located on the Hudson Terrace, by Palisades Interstate Park and behind the Fort Lee High School football field. Outside of Bergen County, Newport Skates is a beautiful outdoor rink in Jersey City with views of Manhattan. It is open Monday through Friday from 4pm-9pm, Saturday from 11am-9pm, and Sunday from 11am-7pm. Both group and private skating lessons are available. The Ice House of NJ is an indoor facility in Hackensack offering several large rinks, open skate times, lessons, and events. In Englewood, Mackay Ice Rink is a popular indoor rink, as well as Fritz Dietl Ice Rink in Westwood, New Jersey. For more ice skating options, view this list of ice rinks in New Jersey, including some North Jersey favorites such as the Clary Anderson Arena in Montclair and the Ice Vault Arena in Wayne.
